A man that have always lived in he's past will never be sucessful. How great you were is worthless against how great you are. Overrated

There're 2 things that I think is overrated in this world. 1st of all, Birthdays, especially 21st years old's, what a waste of time by doing a big celebration with it. It's not like you achieved something, it's something Time achieved on you. Useless and stupid belief I dare say. So now your 21, so what ? Is there any big deal ? You should know that this means your time in this world is getting lesser and lesser, yet you still celebrating it ?

2nd, Graduation party, Convo. Another piece of useless shitty celebration that spans around a week. You gotten a paper, yeah, good for you, so, are you going to rub your shoes with it? I don't see the big deal with getting something that you can get by studying for 3-4 years by passing exams. Time and resource wasting, you graduated, so what? You ain't that grand you know, so to speak, there're like 201390923324 gazillion people graduating from different university worldwide every year with a value depreciating degree.(0 value for Malaysian degree)It's not you achieved something great.

So, get a life and do something useful instead of celebrating things that aren't actually worth the trouble,time and money.

The Purpose of My Life

Lately, I realised that the human memory can store only so much memory that we can't remember everything we being through in our lives. So to solve this, I decided to write brief details of my life in journals, journals containing things that I had conceived through my thoughts, my experience, and what I had learn in the coming years.

I have then seperated them into 3 books,all with chinese words as their title.

The 1st book is named 独 short form for 独立 means independence. A complilation of my views and thoughts about skills required for one to able to work sucessfully and independently on their own in the world, such as Leadership, planning and organization, critical thinking, and concepts/ideologies.

The 2nd book is named 家 ,means family. A complilation of my thoughts about family values and the virtues of men. It's on my opinion on emotions and morality of human beings. Such as love to depression, making the right choice and taking up responsibility as a man. My guideline to be a human being. Moral and family values should always be preserved.

The 3rd book is named 明 , means enlightment. A complilation of knowledge that I learned throughout my university life. Ranging from research knowledge, engineering methodology, correct way of studying, and various useful theories and principles for starters. Included business theories and time of opportunities research by me.

when you put these 3 words together, since 独 has the same sound as 杜，you will get 杜家明, which is my name.

The purpose of my life is to show my descendants how I lived through these books. My hopes are they can learn from the mistakes that I made and live a better life through my experience and thoughts. I shall will be always be there to guide and love my sons and daugthers with my heart and soul.

Is the grass always greener on the other side ?

When I m walking around in the hypermarket. I saw every single and lonely soul would probably envying another couple holding hands across the street. So the question is, are they worth envying? The truth is, there are couples that actually envied single person. Freedom of singles is something they envied.

A couple would have someone to care for them or vise versa. They will have hormon rushing to their brains, therefore making them feel happy and etc. To extreme extend, they can fulfill thier sexual desires. And those are the reason singles dudes envy couples.

But singles have their freedom...yes...freedom, you may think it's worthless when compared to a couple, but however I m lazy to elaborate , but maybe you will that "feeling" someday and come to realised what I had achieved.

Exam Finished but that's just the beginning of everything.

Exam just ended yesterday, but there's no reason to stop and rest now. Got to keep up the momentum, as someone that sacrificed everything, I have no fear, I have nothing to lose, there's no stopping now. So, this is how it's going to begin.

Can wake up one day at look at your hands, wondering what great things can you do with them? None ! Because I m too weak, I planned to change this right here, right now. Knowledge is Power, Experience is Wisdom, Character is Absolute. These are the things I shall gain through my both hands!

Survival of The Fittest

Have you ever wondered, when your becoming richer, someone else in this world has became poorer? The flow money, in engineering, we can conclude that the entire world is a control volume, the maximum amount of money in the world is always static, only the internal change of who's owning the money is occuring. Suffice to say, when your becoming sucessful, your actually making someone out there failing.

The more sucessful you have become, the more lives you have destroyed.It's an inevitable course of life so to speak. There's a saying that a Good networking is a base for sucess. Yet, An anti social people can easily attain sucess without hesitating about the effects on others.

So as a conclusion, the one person that can totally sucessful easily is someone that has alot of networking skills, yet he is cold and emotionless, using allies to achieve victory. Yet to him, he's allies are just followers that are expendable. You may say he's morally wrong to do so. But did you know that the world is made out of alliance that is based on mutual benefits ? People are just using each other to achieve their goal. Would Hitler ally himself with the Japanese if it hadn't for their mutual enemy, America. An Enemy of my enemy is my friend. Would Stalin team up of the Brit and America if it wouldn't for their common hatred for the Nazi?

It's every man for himself out there in this cruel world. The weak should be devoured by the strong. Live with it, Deal with it and get on with it. Your F***ing screwed if your still a Mama's boy when you hit 20, a road kill to the real world. And I will be the one that "killing" you.

Those borned with silver spoons in their mouths tend to end up with dirt in thier mouth because of their ignorance. I want to to make a difference, I want a platinum spoon in my mouth once I m 30 years old. Gold spoons for my children and everything in the world for my wife.

Everybody has a Destiny to fulfill.

Did you ever woke up one morning and thought about your life's purpose? Yes,that's right, did you ever thought about your destiny before ?

The human life has a pretty short life span, ranging from about 60-70 years on average. Though the average is getting lower and lower day after day (we all know why). Would you end your life with a Bang or just let it die out without anything significant ? We all have a destiny to fulfill, it doesn't matter if it's a peaceful one nor a bloody one.

You may be a family man, aimed towards building a good family and nuturing your kids and take care of your beloved. Or you may be some war leader, (leaders from WW2 for example), some of them may be power hungry maniacs and branded insane, yet they bought something the world even's it's not good. These are examples of destinies that will be walk through by every human.

Destiny are chosen based on the path and characteristics you chose. Once chosen, there's no turning back. You path will bring you to your destiny. Always dream of your destiny !

Exam Day 4

After a short break on the weekends, it's finally exam day 4 , Art Appreciation course. Well..this exam was objective..so I barely put any effort to study it, did it in like 10 minutes, another 10 minutes to recheck and 10 minutes I was idle. So entire exam took only 30 minutes to finish. The good news is exam day 5 is about a week from now. Time to focus on my design project and start to produce results.

Something "hit" me today, I start to think about the human behaviour, their connection with enviroment and stuffs. Human's addiction to power as potrayed by the rise and fall of several powerful/insane dictators. Something to think about for the days to come.

Exam Day 3

Hmm Day 3. Thermodynamics was an open book test and I actually expected it to be very hard contrary to the questions shown in past years. I was correct, The questions are unbelievable out of league of the general scope of most students.

Hard as it is, I tried my best and I have no regrets. Pretty simple, actually I was awaiting this type of challenge though. After Mr.Liau's paper, I was actually having the urge to do challenging questions, trying to push myself to the limits, to see where do I stand. Both Dr.Ali and Dr.Chu made my day.

As I said before Malaysia Engineers only have 5 % professionalism when compared others around the world. After what I saw today, I think it's not even 2 %. Thx to Malaysia Education System I suppose.

Past year solutions, Solution manuals, pure copying on the spot. Wow, That's epic. Students are too fixated on getting an " OMG it's an A" or Hey,I got Dean List. It's retarded you know, that even there are lecturers are getting lazy on coming out new exam questions and just reuse their past years even in certain univerties at the Peninsula on the reason " I am busy with my research" LOL. Failtard lecturers creates of course Failtard students.

Yea, so next time you go out and work, the 1st thing you gonna ask your boss is " Where're the solution manual/past years solution ?" I bet you will well rewarded.

Leaked questions, Past year Solutions. I don't give a damn about those. Just prepare yourself for the exam, expect the unexpected and try your best. Believe in yourself and you will be fine.

Exam Day 2

Exam day 2:

Today is Signal and Systems exam by Dr. Ali. Hmm, I have no much of a comment on this exam though. Although the questions are quite straight forward to the point, it required some deep thought into it. Of course, this leads into alot of writing, trigo differentiation, Euler's formua and of course, Fourrier integration. Alots of writing leads me to use an extra answer booklet. Due to the fact I tend to have bigger handwriting than a average human(for some unknown reason) and it took about 45 minutes just to do 1 question. Tiring yet Satisfying.

Tomorrow gonna be exam day 3 on Engineering Thermodynamics. It's open book and let's see what's Dr.Chu has installed for us.

P/S: My left hand hurts from alot of writing for 2 days.

Reasons that Made me Stay back in University during the Holidays

During the last break, I found out it was counter productive to go home for holidays. (unless you count playing WoW on daily basis and House of Dead 4, Time Crisis 4 on a weekly basis productive.) I felt I was exceptionally weak and useless and my dreams ain't gonna be achieved by just doing nothing.

I always wonder why am I weak ? There's alot of things that I don't know and can't do in the world. Therefore I decided to stay back so I can learn all the things I needed to survive the world from my mentors that admired. The master students,the lecturers and my dad says that I should go ahead with my studies as far as possible before I start my working life. It's gonna be a world of PHD soon, a degree is pratically losing it's value as we speak, it's gonna be "sandpaper" soon to shine your shoe or rub your face for what it worth.

Knowledge is worth nothing in this world if we cannot apply it. It is always the right way to go practical only once you understood the theory. I hope of becoming a master student and tutor. And from that on, I can do research about future things, useful future things to be precise which I have in my mind now.

Exam Day 1

Well , Exam Day 1 is finally over.

1st up was Applied Mechanics by Mr.Chua. Hmm, it wasn't really that hard actually. Much easier than expected consist of several really fundamental elements. So to say, I survived through quite well. Too bad I can't say the same for the following one.

The hard part is always the interesting part eh? Actually if I could give the paper a difficulty level, I would give it as "Epic Hard IQ challenging". Next up was Electronics Analogue by Mr.Liau (the lecturer that taught me the concept of understanding). So to this, my understanding was put to test. And yea, I pretty much didn't get an A for it.

At 1st glance, this paper is the only paper in my life that I could briefly flip through it and say "What the hell, I don't even understand one of the questions." Straight forward by % ? 0% totally. And thank god, I wasn't the only one. I did tried my best, and well I was sastify with my outcome. If we were gonna see Mr.Liau again next semester, time to get prepared for it right here right now.

Tomorrow, Signal and System. Not an easy one, but manageble.

Chess's Analogy to Life

Life can be an anology to chess. As humans tried to achive sucess in life, their only opponents would be the enviroment itself and of course, other humans whom will try to steal another's happy ending.

Everyone is your enemy in your path to sucess except your closest allies. Like chess, those that can predict and strategize by a few steps ahead of the opponent will tend to have the upper hand thus achieving victory in a better and faster way instead of going head on with the opponent.

You may sometimes say that the opponent played dirty and unfairly to achieve victory, but know this; the opponent planned and strategize and utilize methods to take you down simple and clean. I called this method "sabotaging via the front door", directly in your face and not doing it from the "backdoor". Even he's method is unethical or what so ever, if you could just predict what he's about to do, you could just planned a counterattack or plan B to at least escape scott-free.

Learning is forever. Sucess to life is to predict, strategize, and execute your plan. Always expect the unexpected. Consider every parameter, know thy enemy and it shall be their downfall. Complete your passion, and not letting it turn into lust and vengeance.

Like chess, life sacrifices are nessasary. Even you may need to sacrifice your Queen sometimes, but if the Queen understand your plan and believe in your plans and capabilities, she will gladly sacrifice for you. At the end of the day, if you are sucessful, a pawn will cross the chess board and your Queen shall return to you, one way or the another. If your Queen don't understand this, you might as well find a new one XD.

Admire women for their intelligence and preception and not their beauty only. Your woman should better than you in any other way, She is the one that make you complete, the ones that make you prefect. Brothers

To this post, I would like to dedicate this to friends that I consider as my Brothers, one of them is at US right now, a couple of them scatter across the Peninsula, and some is now currently most probably studying at their rented home in Sabah.

Throughout my life journey, I met my Brothers. Yes, my Brothers which we together formed brother bands. A band of friends bonded by friendship I appreciate very much. We share joy, we share fun and we share our problems together. Together we are bonded by bands of brotherhood. There maybe several different bands formed with me at different places and different time, but I appreciate all of them always and they will always be imprinted upon my memories.

As Brother bands are formed,I realised that no point getting segregated as :

"Together we stand united , Divided we fall"

I also learned that :

The least important word : "I"
The most important word : "We"
"Your friend is the man who knows all about you, and still likes you."
"A good friend is hard to find, hard to lose, and impossible to forget..."

I was lucky to know you guys. Even if I m always the loner. Perhaps it's fate, heh. Thank you.

Lessons Learnt.

Well, it's almost the end of the semester and exams coming next week. This semester has been a journey that is a meaningful one. I met few of the best lecturers there is I could hope for. They are motivator and idols to me. Their words always ring in my mind, they motivated me when I was feeling down. For this, I cannot let them down, I will suceed and exceed their expectations.

The truth is, early of this semester, I fell down a few times and I felt the world was so empty and it's ending for me. Their words ring through to me and make me stand up again, I realised that :

"Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall. Stand up be Strong, Nor right Nor wrong,Forever Hence,believe yourself. Always believe in your hopes and dreams. Never hesitate as we are still the masters of our fate,a god of ourselves."

Those that never had the bravery to hope will never see things that is behind the hope itself.

From that time onwards, I always made myself busy in mind enchanting activities and self enrichment. Been doing various projects just to make myself busy and make use of full time.(But I m still a leader and a very good player in a certain online game to boot XD) With responsibility and principles, I will become a better engineer, a better teacher, a better person and a better man.

If fate would want it be this way then I m fine with it. But mark my words, This Isnt Over.
